Music Therapy

Music Therapy

Music therapy is the use of music to improve the child's quality of life. Music therapy is a
witness-based, clinical use of music interventions. We provide a cerebral palsy treatment to those children whose age is between 2 to 17 years old.

The music therapist uses music and all of its facets-physical, social, aesthetic, emotional,
mental,  and spiritual, that help children to improve their health and quality of life. Music therapists
primarily help children to improve their health, motor, emotional, social, such as cognitive,
communication, and educational by using both receptive and active music experiences such as
improvisation, re-creation, composition, and responsive approaches and discussion of music to
achieve goals of treatments. There is a broad qualitative and quantitative research literature base
on music therapy. Music Therapy is distinctive from Myopathy, which relies on a more generic
and non-cultural approach based on neural, physical, and other responses to fundamental
aspects of sound.
Music Therapy

There are two types of music therapy in the cerebral palsy treatment

There are two types of Music Therapy:-

Receptive

Receptive music therapy includes listening to recorded or live music selected by a therapist.
It can improve mood, pain, anxiety level, decrease stress, and enhance relaxation. Although it
does not affect disease; it can help coping skills.

Active

Recipients engage in any form of music-making, whether it's singing or with instruments. Scott,
Baylor and White's researchers are studying the effect of harmonica playing on patients with
COPD in order to determine to improve lung function. The therapists teach the children
how to play easy-to-use instruments so they can overcome physical difficulties.

Music Therapy

The benefit of music therapy (CP)
It is believed that music has been used as practically the beginning of time to help humans to
deal with difficult feelings and better connect to another. Because of it's powerful and
immediate influence over coupled emotions with its ability to naturally increase
neurochemicals — including “feel good” endorphins — music is now being introduced to many
programs across the world. We provide cerebral palsy treatment or music therapy to children. Click on this link for more information. (CP)Music can evoke positive
emotions and stimulate reward centers in the mind, music therapy is often able to
alleviate symptoms of mental health concerns such as:

Depression
Mood-related concerns
Anxiety
Schizophrenia
Substance dependency
Autism
Personality issues
Insomnia
Dementia etc.
